Utah ARES is beginning to use The ARES Task Book as the Certification process for the state

Monthly ARES Participation Self Reporting
With no more ARES Connect a process has been implement where each ARES member can self report their monthly ARES participation.
This is a Google form that you can enter the activities you participated in and the hours served. A reminder will be sent out on the Utah ARES email group
Cache County ARES NET
The former Winlink Net has now become the Cache County ARES NET.
Cache County ARES Winlink Net
Tuesday Night WinLink Net
Winlink-only net each 1st Tuesday of every month.
- Check-in is between 0600-1900 Moutain and can be ANY mode including Packet, Telnet or HF.
- You will receive an acknowledgement to show that you’re checked in.
- Address your check-in message to W7CSO (Cache County ARES Callsign).
We are now using the “Winlink Check In” template. For those new to templates follow the step by step instructions how how to send a message.
- Launch Winlink Express.
- Select new message.
- Click on “Select Template” in the menu.
- Expand Standard Templates
- Expand GENERAL Forms
- Double Click on “Winlink Check In.txt”
If you are not using Winlink Express then the body of your message is as follows.
call sign, first name, city or town, state (HF, VHF or Telnet) and mode.
This net will repeat every month. This is a simple check-in with the purpose being to have CCARES members stay up to date on how to use Winlink Express.

Utah RACES Registration (Fill out this Ready Op form to signup for RACES. Make sure that you follow the instruction carefully or it will not go through)
If you have not signed up for RACES since they have started using Ready Op you will need to. To clean up the list of RACES members the State RACES Coordinator Bob Craven has tied the membership list in to this new system all of the old list will be dropped and only the Ready Op will be used.
